Wooster, Ohio was my home town for my formative years. I hung out with the “alternative” crowd, shopped at Goodwill and somehow managed to graduate with honors. I went on to graduate from the College of Wooster with a B.A. in Biology. I quickly moved to Florida after graduation, got a job as a pharmaceutical chemist and met the love of my life, Andrew. After a couple of years I moved from the lab to an office and worked in scientific staffing.
I became a stay at home mom after the birth of my daughter in May 2004 – except for some part time and consulting work (including web site design, business consulting, finance, public relations, writing and book sales).
In May 2007 we moved from Florida to Colorado. We decreased our number of friendly neighborhood sexual predators by about 450, got much better schools and traded in the steamy sub-tropic climate for the beautiful, seasonal Colorado climate. We make our home in the shadow of the rocky mountains and spend as much time as we can hiking around RMNP, Boulder and our neighborhood!
This blog was started in December of 2008 and was born as two former blogs merged: one about my family and one that supported the agenda and local meetings of Mothers Acting Up. Inspired Exchange marries all the things that inspire me: people doing good things in the world and my kids. Enjoy!
